Privacy Policy

When you create an account in this local build, the name and email you enter are stored in this browser. Passwords are not stored in plain text; a salted password hash is stored locally for sign-in verification.

No profile photo is collected or used by Historical Trader.

Uploaded stock, benchmark and financial-news files are processed into the local Historical Trader workspace database. Saved backtests and imported datasets are workspace data, not part of your browser account profile.

Deleting a browser account does not automatically delete the local market/news database because that database may be shared by multiple local accounts on the same workspace.

Historical Trader uses browser storage for account session state, navigation preferences and other small interface settings. These values remain on the device until you clear site data or remove them through the relevant controls.

The current local build is designed to process its stock/news database on your computer. The application does not need to send the imported market database to an external cloud service merely to display or backtest it.

If this project is later deployed publicly or connected to external authentication, analytics, advertising, cloud databases or other services, this policy should be reviewed and updated before public use.

Signed-in users can open Account to view a summary of their account data, download a JSON copy of core browser-account information, sign out, or permanently delete that local account.

You can also delete the entire local Historical Trader workspace through the Data tools or by removing the project's .local-data folder while the application is stopped.

Browser-local account controls are intended for this local application workflow. They are not a substitute for production-grade server authentication on a publicly hosted financial application. Keep the computer and browser profile secure.
